The Dreamhack 2006 Winter LAN Party was the biggest in the world, as they succeeded to attract a reported 10,000 people. Guinness Book Of Records calculated the attendance at 7,752 people and 7,788 computers in the network. However, Dreamhack sold over 10,000 tickets to the event, and estimates that the real number of attendees is well over the 10,000.
