With L4D becoming more and more popular among gamers, you can imagine they are crying out for a tournament to test or show their skills. And now, thanks to the renowned Western Digital, your wish has been granted. Here is your chance to play against quality players, meet new people and maybe even win some great prizes for you and your friends.



What is this Operation: Blackstorm?

Operation: Blackstorm is a L4D versus mode tournament. However, unlike normal tournaments which are usually 1 day events, Operation: Blackstorm has an added twist to it. It consists of the qualifying rounds and the all important finale. The overall champion stands a chance to win a grand total of RM1000!

Here is how the tournament works:


Qualifying Rounds


Every Saturday of the month, two teams will be selected to play with Western Digital’s own team (Team Blackstorm) to try and qualify for the Monthly tournaments
This means by the end of the month there will be 4 teams that will be qualified to play in the Monthly tournaments
In order to qualify for the monthly tournaments, there are three ways to do so:

• 1.By defeating Western Digital’s Team Blackstorm (only if the other team loses)
• 2.If both qualifying teams manage to defeat Team Blackstorm, a match will be played between both winning teams to determine who has the right to enter the Monthly tournaments
• 3.If both qualifying teams lose to Team Blackstorm, a match will also be played between both losing teams to determine who has the rights to enter the Monthly tournaments

The monthly tournaments which are held every last Sunday will determine the Monthly
Champion

The Monthly Champions will win:

4x WD Caviar Black Hard Disk Drives & RM 200

The Runner up will also win:

RM 200

The qualifying rounds will last for two months until TWO monthly champions (June & July) are decided.



Finale

• As the two Monthly champions (June & July), you will be granted the right to play with the WD Team Blackstorm for an extra RM 1000.
• In order to challenge Team Blackstorm, both Monthly Champions will be required to play a final match to determine who will be the Champions of Champions before being given the rights to play with Team Blackstorm
• At the end the Champions of Champions will play against Team Blackstorm in a final match to win an extra RM 1000 and to also claim bragging rights.

Winners of the Monthly tournaments: RM200 + 4 WD Caviar Black HDD

Runner ups of the Monthly Tournaments: RM 200

Finale Champion: RM 1000
