After the successful end of 2nd SpotGamers Award, we are served with another year-end award, but this time, it's on the bigger scale as Spike is organizing Video Games Award 2009.
According to a press release sent by Animax, VGA 2009 will see a total of 28 awards including top honours ‘Game of the Year’ and ‘Studio of the Year’ presented, based on results from online votes cast globally. Fans anywhere in the world can play their part to determine the results of VGA 2009 by voting for their favourite nominees at www.spike.com/event/vga2009 from now to 11 December 2009.

‘Uncharted 2: Among Thieves’ leads the total of nominations with 8 nominations including 'Game of The Year' and Studio of The Year'. Among the games that are nominated for 'Game of The Year' are:-
Video Games Award 2009 would be held on 12 December 2009 at Los Angeles by Spike TV and Asian viewers would get their first hand by an Asian Premiere on Animax TV on Saturday, 16 January 2010, 9pm(SEA/PH/SA).
