World Cyber Games Malaysian Championship Day 1

Its finally here. The WCG 2008 Malaysian Championship is held again at the same place Hall 2 and 3, Mid Valley Exhibition Center. The atmosphere was great and this time the place is cooler compared to last year. The games being played during this tournament is Counter Strike 1.6, Command and Conquer 3 Kanes' Wrath, FIFA 2008, Need For Speed ProStreet, Starcraft and Warcraft 3.

The were many upsets at the tournament area yesterday as the games were being played. Starting of with Counter Strike 1.6 where Team Hybrid, the Champions of the ESWC and defending champions fall into the loser bracket after losing to Team Pu.Gimak. There was also a case during the match between Pu.Gimak and Natural Ones where Pu.Gimak was said to had used the flashbang bug. After investigations by the marshall, Pu.Gimak was found guilty and was minus a round of thier score. But that did not stop them to go through to the next round.

On to Command and Conquer 3 Kanes' Wrath, where second runner up of the CelGames VicViper kicks defending Champion [r0r1]Alpha into the loser brackets. Luckilly Alpha gets pass own teammate Kcoon and moves ahead. He still have a hope to take back his title. Zero.Sp, winner of the LYN CNC league is in the winners bracket

In FIFA 2008, a very sad day for King of Asia , [W|nds] Si_Jali was kicked out of the competition by [MyFes]Slides. This is a very sad disappointment to him. Also [W|nds]Al3x who is the champion is CelGames this year is also out. Left for team [W|nds] in the WCG is Vin and Loon.

In Need For Speed, Forza goes through to the next round along with other big names like M1-Heaven and Chapree. Will we see Heaven take the title away from our very own Forza? We'll find out on the 2nd and last day.

Onto the final game of Warcraft 3, the top 16 saw many big names going into the winners bracket. The unbeatable and skillful Paulyan' goes through after beating MYM.Moon 2-0 in the top 8. In other matches Pin, the Orc King from the WGT beats Ct.Serry to kick him into the losers bracket, and the runner-up of ESWC M1-Noxodox goes through comfortably into the winners bracket. There was a game held on stage between tankliew vs [XreV]Hungjen which saw HungJen winning that epic match on stage.
