After a very long long wait, at last.. WCG Malaysia 2009 is finally here!
Though the details is quite surprising, judging on what has been going on around Asia and the world, we are glad to heard that WCG is back in action.
Here are the details:
Venue : Cybertime (Mega Mendung)
Add : 96 Jalan Mega Mendung, Bt 5, Jalan Klang Lama, 58200 Kuala Lumpur
Date : 3rd & 4th Oct 2009
Gamers registration : Registration will be open on 24 Sept 2009, 12 midnight. Slots is available on a first come first serve basis.
So guys better start book your slots as its 1st come 1st basis yea!
Head on to WCG Malaysia site for registration (It opens after midnight)

.. is this the main wcg.my ? or is it just a prequalifier. to have a main 1 at a lanshop would be really disappointing :\
its the grand final and yes its in a lan shop.
to put it in another way,we should be content that they are still willing to send representative for our country to China.
don't get me wrong. im not being ungreatful. its just.. sad that our yearly esports main event has come to this.

well.. it is the World Cyber Games Malaysian Qualifier.
it's like the Football World Cup being played at some padang sekolah.

From my POV, its better that they dont do all those exhibition things.
Instead why not focus on the AMP(Advertising,Marketing,Promotion)?
What is the point of having a tourney that gives u 100K but nobody in the world noes? Does it help the community? No it doenst. Its more like syok sendiri tourney.
What makes a good tourney different than the others is not just the prizes, but rather the exposure that it has.
Thats y many ppl regard WCG as a prestige tourney. Bcoz the exposure they have, that they can achieved is through out the whole world ^^
never complained about the prize or lack of exhibitions.
oh and what AMP ? it's pretty non-existence this year.

thts y others who would love to org their own tourney should look into this aspects as well ^^
