Rumors: Marshal Ban?

Rumors has it that a certain group of marshal has been ban from handling a gaming event in Malaysia. It was reported from our source that the organizer of this event is punishing those who have help in a certain event.

Our source told us that this group of marshal helping in organizing the event due to lack of man power. Plus they were the only one experience marshals in that field. So it was pretty obvious that if they wont do their job nobody will.

As we all know there are just a handful of marshals available here in Malaysia. Plus they are freelancers and not contract bounded by any company. Thus how could they be ban when they are independent body and no string attach with any company? The source told us that they have never sign any contract stated that they are working with the organizers nor being paid monthly as well. So this put a big question mark in this banning controversy.

Whatever it is, this is not a smart move since there are not many people willing to do such a high responsibility job as the marshal. Plus this group of marshal are experience marshals as well. It would be hard to find another better marshal than them. But the saddest case is this marshals could not obtain justice since there are no relevant tribunal to help them.

So would this ban affected the gaming community? We shall see.

If the news is true, then it will be a huge blow to the quality of marshaling in that event. According to a chirping bird, it's well known and established event so it's quite sad to see this happening.

Our marshal pool is so little, yet they still doing this for the sake of commercial rivalry, not thinking of the effect to the scene, knowing that many participants couldn't care less. :(

well i suggest that the gaming community must stand united and demand a good explanation by the organizer.

if it still doesnt satisfy everyone then i suggest everyone to boycott.

marshals are freelancers and i think that banning marshals from tournaments is a reckless decision.. there is this marshal from the USA that i know of, and he works as the head marshal for all the major tournaments for the cs division, he didn't get bind to one single tournament only until he joined the CGS, because he had to sign contracts and by then only you can ban someone from marshaling for another tournament because u are bind to the law.. something like showing that u OWN them and so u can happily ban them if u are not happy with what they are doing..
