Heyya folks, welcome to Spotgamers live coverage for SMM Grand National Dota Tournament 2009 which is now in action at the luxurious A Famosa Resort, Malacca. I was actually just recovered from a sudden fever but I try my best to give you, the SpotGamers loyal readers
The opening ceremony was being officiated by none other than Dato' DoTA himself, Dato' Dr. Ricky Lim, CEO of Sendi Mutiara Multimedia at 6.35 pm. Before the launching, the audience were treated with a great cheerleading performance by a group called Rebels.
EHOME.GK, the defending champions took the honour to return the challenge trophy to where it belongs where 52 teams will compete each other to determine the DoTA World Champions.
Brackets for the main group was decided after the opening ceremony and WCG Asian runner-up, INC-Excello got themselves a dream match-up against the mighty Europeans, MYM. Alongside with them are PMS|Asterisk and FTZ.Asia Gaming.

11.30 PM: QUAS Gaming seal the final spot of the qualifier after beating NERD in their final match. With the conclusion of the match, the top 40 teams are revealed on the main page.

11.00 PM: Most qualifying matches have concluded. Check up the main group to see which teams made it to the main group.
10.30 PM: VS qualifies to the Main Group after topping the Qualifier Group B. E-Wave also qualified after winning the best of 3 matches against IG.Gaming in Qualifier Group E.
10.00 PM: NGL sealed their place in the Group H alongside CityHunter, Little, Digi Rex and S.msk after they beat M|P in best of three matches.
9.25 PM: DREAMHACK WINTER 2009 BREAKING NEWS: Sad news for Team Malaysia in Sweden. They have been eliminated from the group stage of DreamHack Winter 2009 after winning one match against 0bites 16-11 in de_dust2 but losing the other two, to Evil Geniuses 16-2 in de_train and wooSai.fi 16-5 in de_inferno
The same fate goes to Team TiTans. They won against Games4u 16-11 in de_dust2, but lost the other two, to Millenium 16-6 in de_train and Team XLBet 16-14 in de_inferno
