Wanna learn how to make your own Counter Strike and Left 4 Dead mods?
Now you can do your own mod. With thanks to the cooperation between Noesis Interactive Sdn Bhd, the educational arm of Online E-Club Management, the distributor of Valve games and ADCOM, everyone can learn how to make custom animation using the tools provided by Valve which is based on the Source engine.
The launch of this cooperation was being officiated recently by Casey Noland, CEO of Noesis Interactive USA, Darren Ng, Managing Director of ADCOM and Dylan Ang, Director of Noesis Interactive ASIA.
Among the courses that will be offered are:-
Each course will be taught throughout 3 months on every weekends for 10 hours per week. Student will be taught through the combination of DVD Tutorial, guided practice sessions and project based learning.
During the launch, audience were being exposed to how Valve started out with Half Life and progressing through a lot of mods such as Counter Strike, Team Fortress 2 and others by using the toolkit based on Source engine.
They were also exposed to the live designing of character animation where yours truly TPK was being used as a test subject to be integrated with Francis from Left 4 Dead. Custom maps such as Bukit Bintang for CS:Source and Bukit Bintang map for Left 4 Dead were also being shown to the audience.
During this launch as well, the certificate of excellence also being given out to 10 best improvement students, as well as gold, silver and bronze award for the excelled students from ADCOM
According to Casey, he is hoping that, with the cooperation between Noesis and ADCOM, it would embark Malaysian gaming industry into one step further where Malaysian-made games will be at par with other mods such as DotA, Counter Strike and others.
