7 November 2009 is a historical day for Microsoft Malaysia as they were launching their latest operating system, Windows 7 to the public. The launching ceremony was being held at Plaza Low Yat.
Before the official launch, a roadshow was being held in numerous places such as Plaza Low Yat, Ikano Power Centre, PJ and Gurney Plaza, Penang in order to increase awareness about their latest operating system.
For the gaming software, ATI was demonstrating their latest graphic card, ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB DDR 5 that supports the capability of the latest DirectX 11 released on Windows 7. To our surprise, they were showcasting DiRT 2 which would be out on PC next month. Also in stores, a demonstration on how ATI Radeon 5870 is played with extended display on 3 monitors.
In conjunction with the launch, Microsoft is organizing the Madness Sale where Windows 7 Home Premium version is given 30% for 777 customers only.
In conclusion, the launch was a blast and looking at the current capability of Windows 7 that can support any type of games, it would surely better than the previous predecessors, Windows XP and the not-so-compatible Windows Vista.
Alright, enough with the rants, let's jump to the pitchas, shall we? :D
