DreamHack Malaysia Qualifier - Northern Region Kicks Off



Heyya guys, we're back again for the updates for DreamHack Malaysia Qualifier. The qualifier will kicks off this weekend and the first stop would be the Pearl Of The Orient, Pulau Pinang where FTZ.Asia Penang will be the host for the first qualifier.

According to Jasmine Low, Managing Director of Go International Group who is the organizer for this event, about 16 teams already registered online and there are more to come when the walk-in registration would be opened as well.


She also said that, Top 2 teams from each qualifiers will qualify to the Grand Finals where 8 teams from each qualifier will battle it out for the ultimate ticket to Jonkoping, Sweden for DreamHack Winter 2009.

The qualifier will start at 12 pm on Saturday, 15 August 2009. So, make your way to FTZ.Asia Penang to catch up the qualifiers for DreamHack Malaysia Qualifier Grand Finals.

Also, here are some updates and possibilities hinted by Jasmine

  • Counter Strike might be added into GO.ESC to cater the demands for overseas players who wanted to play for fun.
  • There are also participants as far as Germany wants games such as StarCraft to be added in GO.ESC. But, it's all based on the organizers.


Anyway, just want to remind you guys that we would update the results from Northern Region Qualifier from day to day. Don't forget that GO.ESC and DreamHack Malaysia Qualifier Grand Final will be held at 1 Utama, Bandar Utama, Selangor on 14 to 18 October 2009.
