LAST PART: GAME TESTER

Reviews

The tester often has some input in the final game product when they work for the game company, at least in a certain way. Often, they provide valuable hints and tips about what could be better or look better in the game that is then implemented. The tester must of course be aware of every part of the game to ensure it all works and that there are no problems whatsoever.

Now, for a tester that works for a publisher he has a bit of a different job, he still do some testing in the game but has no influence for how the game is made. The game is already made and will not be changed unless there are major problems with it. The tester is merely trying to make sure that game is okay to publish and that the rating is consistent with what they have as far as the content.

A publisher must constantly ensure that the product they sell is good for their business and also verify their content of advertising to what it has been advertised. Therefore, the tester makes sure of all the possible things in the game work as they are saying they do.

For the tester this part of the industry is pretty clear cut, he tests the game and writes down his reviews and opinions and hands it over to the boss at the end of the day. Nothing about what to change or what could be better. All they want to know is whether how the game will fair and how it will stand in the market.

Some Analysis Done By Us

On the other hand, testers who work for a guides, internet site or magazines will have to play the game and experience it from the gamers’ point of view. They will then pint point out the good and the bad in the game. He has no intention to make the game better but only to want to know how much fun it is and how well they made the game. That’s it if they are good.
