DreamHack Malaysia Qualifier - Northern Region Kicks Off

Heyya guys, we're back again with the results from FTZ Asia Penang for CS 1.6 DreamHack Malaysia Qualifier for Northern Region.

According to the updates from Indie Youth Fest blog, the competition were held for only ONE single day due to lack of teams signing up for the qualifiers. Therefore, the marshall has decided to proceed with the double elimination format.



In the end, Team PK won the Northern Region qualifier after beating Team UnNamed in the final match-up. With that result, Team PK and Team UnNamed have qualified to the Grand Finals in 1 Utama on 17 and 18 October 2009 with the place in DreamHack Winter 2009 in Jonkoping, Sweden are on stake.

For the other teams who didn't managed to join, don't fret yet as we have another THREE more qualifier coming up in:-

• Southern Region: Johor (TBC)
• East Malaysia Region: Gizmo Gamers, Kuching, Sarawak (3 October 2009)
• Central Region: FTZ Asia, Subang (10-11 October 2009)
