To top it off, the Grand Final is in Singapore. Did someone mention a free holiday?
To be the best among the best, sacrifices must be made. And now, to win the lucrative prizes offered by FIFA Online 2, plenty of gamers would have to endure sleepless nights and sleeping on day jobs to try to be selected as a Malaysian representative to get a shot at the cash prizes. That’s right, to be selected, gamers must accumulate as many world tour points as possible in order to qualify for the play off that will be held at the end of the month.
Here are the rules of the online qualifier:
Online Qualifier 1
Start Time: 10th August 2009 at 12pm
End Time: 16th August 2009 at 11:59pm
*The Top 14 players with the highest World Tour points will be selected.
Online Qualifier 2
Start Time: 17th August 2009 at 12pm
End Time: 23rd August 2009 at 11:59pm
*The Top 14 players with the highest World Tour points will be selected.
All-time World Tour Points Leaderboard
Period: 10th August 2009 - 31st August 2009
*The Top 3 players with the highest World Tour points will be selected.
The 32 finalists (plus seeded [W|nDs] Vin) will be playing in the:
MOL Cup '09 Final
Date: 6th September 2009
Time: 2pm - 7pm
Venue: MOLiCafe, Level 9, Berjaya Times Square
So there are 31 slots still up for grabs. If you are on holiday now, a decent gamer, and have plenty of time to kill, why don’t you give this online qualifier a try. Who knows, you might strike gold and walk home with all the cash prizes. Besides, the training you will get from playing all these matches might serve you well when you are up against the top players from other countries. Remember, it’s the best of the best when it comes to country vs country.
And unfortunately for the others, [W|nDs] Vin has already been seeded, so gamers who would like to represent Malaysia will have to work hard in order to compete against him. Good luck to those participating in the qualifier.
