Cel Games FInals Day 1 Results

Besides the grand SMM Dota Tournament in Malacca, there is a small matter of the Cel Games Finals happening in Lowyat Plaza, KL. The annual CEL Games offers gamers a chance to pit their wits in the most popular of EA titles, such as Red Alert 3, FIFA 09 and Need For Speed :Shift.

The CEL Games organisers took the opportunity to promote the game titles by setting up an exhibition booth on the Ground Floor. Players, passers-by and fans can try out the latest games like Need for Speed and Fifa 10 on top consoles like the PS3. Also, gamers can also check out 1 of the new popular offering from EA, Dragon Age. If you'd like to try out the PS3 and some of the games on offer, do drop by at Plaza Lowyat tomorrow. Also, there is a small matter of the tournaments happening on the day. Here are the results.

Disappointingly, only 6 players showed up for both the Need For Speed and Red Alert 3 games. Therefore the organisers managed to slot in a best of 3 match up and group stages to decide the winners for the day. On a more positive note, over 30 gamers participated in FIFA 09, and with the intensity of the competition, the battle for being the Champion will continue tomorrow. We now stop at the top-16 stage.
