The World Cyber Games Grand Final has just ended today in China. Sadly for team Malaysia, we were unable to bring home any medals. Our best performer, Si Jali, stumbled at the quarter final stage to the eventual runner up, SK Hero in FIFA 09.
Despite that, China has managed to host what proved to be a successful tournament. The Grand Finals saw Korea emerging as the most successful E-Sports country, they bagged a total of 8 medals (3 Gold, 2 Silver, 3 Bronze). Meanwhile, the it also saw the host nation, China take Gold and Silver in the Warcraft 3 event. Korea also continued their dominance in Starcraft by bagging all 3 medals on offer. Germany on the other hand proved to be the best at FIFA 09 by winning the Gold and Silver Medals. Check out the full medal tally below.
