Today may prove to be a momentous day in Malaysian E-Sports, as team Malaysia will board the plane and head to Chengdu, China to contest for International glory in the WCG Grand Finals. The team consists of 9 players, the highest ever number of individual participants representing Malaysia and will be contesting over the next week for honours. The games they will be playing are FIFA09, Warcraft and Starcraft.
A medal in the WCG has proved elusive for Malaysia so far. Can the team of 9 players do it this time? John Rambo, Malaysia's representative for Starcraft believes that his challenge 'will be tough' be he is doing his best to go for gold. Si Jali, who once recorded 4th place in FIFA in 2005, says this will be his 'second chance for him to achieve his dream to be world champion', which is one he will cherish. Malaysian Champion Vin, a veteran in international tournaments already, believes 'luck will play a massive part' in determining the winner.
The games will begin this week week, stay tuned as Spotgamers will try to update the Malaysian performers from time to time. Until next time, we wish all our E-Sport Athletes all the best. Malaysia Boleh! Majulah Sukan Untuk Negara!
